This statue is a tribute to the Biblical story of Rebecca at the Well. Hand-carved from natural stone, this Bianco Catalina Granite statue features a beautiful young woman carrying two large water jugs, both of which act as water spouts for the fountain. The story of Rebecca is that a servant of Abraham was told to find a wife for Abraham’s son Issac so he prayed to God for a sign and asked that the girl he was to choose should offer to pour water for him and his men and their camels as well. Rebecca appeared at the well and offered water to the travelers and so she became Issac’s wife.
If you are not installing this statue in a pond, a surround or pondless basin will need to be purchased separately.
